Epilepsy Music Therapy Program

Epilepsy Music Therapy Program

time 6:31 pm

June 20, 2017

The Epilepsy Music Therapy Program provides group music therapy sessions for people living with epilepsy, allowing them to explore their creativity, meet others with epilepsy and express themselves in an open, accepting and safe group setting.

Join us in partnership with the Old Town School of Folk Music for a special 4-week only Rhythmicity Music class, guided by Rick Neuhaus. Each week, we’ll explore our natural rhythms through a combination of structured and spontaneous interaction on all manner of traditional percussion instruments including pots, pans, and trashcan lids. No musical experience is required.

Music therapy has been studied to improve camaraderie, build community, create personal purpose and value, provide significant stress relief, and generate higher energy levels.

A $20 deposit is required (refundable after 3 attended classes).

Registration deadline is Friday, May 26th
