Carolyn S. Boyce

Carolyn first worked with EFGC as a temp and then an independent contractor before officially joining the staff full-time in July 2026 as Operations and Administration Manager. She is a key partner to the President & CEO and VP of Finance, Operations and People in executing EFGC’s operational and administration functions to enhance efficiency in cross-functional business processes. 

She’s excited to continue bringing her background and skills to EFGC’s mission, empowering staff with resources to improve the lives of people affected by epilepsy.

Carolyn’s nonprofit experience spans two decades working in human resources, volunteer management, community outreach, event planning, policy research, and as a paralegal. 

She is currently enrolled at the University of Illinois, Chicago earning her MPA in Nonprofit Management and holds a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. Carolyn is an Advanced Certified Nonprofit Professional (ACNP), a pro bono People Operations Strategy Consultant with the global sustainable travel nonprofit, RISE Travel Institute, and is an independent Impact Career Coach.

Originally from Ohio, Carolyn moved to Chicago during the pandemic after fulfilling a lifelong goal of touring Route 66. She enjoys writing, reading, playing piano, exploring Chicago’s neighborhoods, and snuggling with her cat.
