Edison Ureña

Edison Ureña came to Chicago in 1987, after completing higher education. He has worked as a financial administrator for the Northwestern University Settlement Association and the Noble Network of Charter Schools and is very excited to be working as the Accounting and Administrative Manager at EFGC. Edison supports Lance Drake, the VP of Finance, with the day-to-day accounting transactions for Accounts Payable, Cash Receipts, General Ledger entries, fiscal reports, HR support and overall fiscal management for the organization. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Roosevelt University with a dual major in accounting and business. Edison also holds a master’s degree in public and non-profit administration from the University of Illinois. He is a member of the National Council of La Raza and has been a member of the Illinois Association of School Business Officials since July 1999. Edison is married to Zeneida Ureña and they have two young adult sons, Edison Jr. and Christian, who graduated from Northwestern University and the University of Michigan.
