Community Volunteers

Community Volunteers

Community Volunteers are the first line of contact for many of the communities we serve. The Community Volunteer’s objective is to help people with epilepsy live their everyday lives through advocacy and education in their community.

Advocacy:

Our Community Volunteers are committed to speaking to the needs of people with epilepsy and sharing their personal stories with the community and their local politicians. By developing relationships with local legislators through meetings, emails, and promotional materials, they help the public understand the significance of the medical condition and the need for their support.

Education:

Epilepsy education is vital to every community and our members are dedicated to raising awareness. Community Volunteers help EFGC educate the public through trainings at schools, attending local health fairs and community events, as well as setting up informational displays.
