Abby Diemer
Abby joined the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago as the Intake and Outreach Coordinator in 2025. She is passionate about social change and advocacy. As a Macro Social Worker, Abby’s focus on systemic transformation and policy-driven solutions has always led her to the non-profit sector.
Abby earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where she developed a strong foundation in social justice principles. She continued her academic journey at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, obtaining her Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in Leadership and Social Change. This educational background has equipped her with the tools to drive meaningful societal shifts.
Becoming a licensed social worker in 2024 further solidified Abby’s resolve to create a more equitable future. Her expertise in policy advocacy, ethics, and addressing systemic inequities positions her as a powerful force for change within the epilepsy community and beyond.
